- Links to other sites in no way implies endorsement
- Creditability and reliability of information is ensured when a site provides content that is managed and reviewed by an editorial board or experts
- Clinical content should include the date of publication or modification
- Any and all sponsorship, advertising, underwriting, commercial, or potential conflicts should be separated from editorial content
- Avoid any online physician who proposes to diagnose or treat without proper examination and consultation regarding your medical history
- Personal and medical information should be kept absolutely confidential
- Get more than one opinion, be suspicious of miracle cures, and always read the fine print
